Lorde—real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor—is a singer-songwriter from Auckland, New Zealand. She is best known for tracks such as Royals and Green Light.
Starting her music career in 2009, she she released her debut EP ‘The Love Club’ in 2013, which contained her debut single, Royals. The song was at number one in the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks, and led her to win two Grammy Awards. Her debut album, 'Pure Heroine', followed later that year. She has since gone on to gain a huge fanbase across the world, putting out a further two records in the shape of 2017's ‘Melodrama’ and, most recently, 'Solar Power' in 2021. Lorde will headline the UK's Boardmasters Festival and Budapest's Sziget Festival in August 2023, which follows her postponed Australian and New Zealand dates in March.
