Machine Head are an American thrash metal outfit hailing from Oakland, California. Formed in 1991, the band consists of founding member and frontman Robb Flynn, guitarist Phil Demmel, bassist Jared MacEachern, and longtime drummer Dave McClain.
Today a veteran heavy metal outfit, their debut album, ‘Burn My Eyes’, became Roadrunner Records’ best-selling album of all-time when it hit shelves back in 1994.
Since then, they’ve released seven studio albums and toured across all four corners of the globe. Best known for tracks like Davidian, Old, Aesthetics of Hate, and Imperium, Machine Head are also renowned for their brutally, fearsome energy and live shows that are packed with intense power and an awesome amount of pyrotechnics.
Taking their heavy raw sound on the road during a career that spans over a decade, Machine Head have forged an undeniable bond with their fans and in 2014, they impressed their fan base with a series of intimate UK gigs in the summertime.
In 2014, they returned for a full-scale UK tour supporting their eighth studio album, 'Bloodstone & Diamonds', which hit shelves in the month prior. Machine Head were back to the UK in March 2016, with a run of special performances, that will include no supports, and the band playing for over two hours.
January 2018 saw Machine Head release 'Catharsis', their ninth album. They support it with a world tour, with North American dates completed in January and February and a UK leg in May. Following those legs, they reach Australia and New Zealand in July, before heading back to North America for another round of shows.
