Massive Attack is an English trip-hop band from Bristol, consisting of Robert ‘3D’ Del Naja and Grant ‘Daddy G’ Marshall.
Formed in 1988, the band released their debut album, ‘Blue Lines’, in 1991, with the single, Unfinished Sympathy, reaching #13 in the UK Singles Chart. The band’s second album, ‘Protection’, was released in 1994, and led to the band winning Best British Dance Act at the BRIT Awards. The album ‘Mezzanine' followed in 1998, and featured the #10 single, Teardrop, with the album hitting the #1 spot in the chart. ‘100th Window’, which was released in 2003, also reached #1. The group’s last album, ‘Heligoland’ came out in 2010. In January 2016 the band released the EP, ‘Ritual Spirit’, which featured Tricky, Young Fathers, Roots Manuva and Azekel.
The group have headlined their own shows and tours across the UK, including performing at Bansky's Dismaland, Hyde Park for British Summer Time, Plymouth Pavilions, an open air show at Bristol Downs, Mad Cool Festival and even the Eden Project.
