Matt and Kim are an American indie dance outfit hailing from Brooklyn, New York. Formed in 2004, the band consists of Matt Johnson and Kim Schifino.
Known for their lo-fi, DIY attitude to making music, they released their self-titled debut album in 2006. Gaining themselves a deal with Fader Music in 2008, they made their label debut in 2009 with 'Grand'. This was followed by two more albums; ‘Sidewalks’ in 2010, and ‘Lighting’ in 2012. The pair released a new album, ‘New Glow’, in 2015 on Harvest Records, and toured both sides of the pond supporting it. After a quiet 2017 (Kim suffered an ACL injury during a live show), the duo returned in 2018 with a new album 'ALMOST EVERYDAY'. The duo tour all over the US in 2019 to support it.
