MIA is a British hip hop singer-songwriter from Hounslow, London.

Starting her music career in 2002, she released her debut album, ‘Arular’, in 2005, followed by ‘Kala’ in 2007, which hit #39 in the UK Albums Chart and featured the single Paper Planes. ‘Maya’ was released in 2010 and reached #9 in the Billboard Hot 200 and ‘Matangi’, came out in 2013. She is set to release her latest album, ‘A.I.M.’, on September 9 via Interscope.
