Mogwai are a Scottish post-rock band from Glasgow, consisting of frontman Stuart Braithwaite, keys-man Barry Burns, bassist Dominic Aitchison, and drummer Martin Bulloch, with John Cummings leaving in 2015.
Formed in 1995, the band released their debut, 'Mogwai Young Team', in 1997, which they followed with ‘Come On Die Young’, which hit #29 in the UK Albums Chart. Their next album, ‘Rock Action’, performed even better, reaching #23 in the chart. ‘Happy Songs For Happy People’ came in 2003 and saw the band achieve their first success in the USA. ‘Mr Beast’ followed in 2006, with ‘The Hawk Is Howling’ in 2008, ‘Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will’ in 2011 and ‘Rave Tapes’ in 2014. ‘Atomic’ ht shelves in April 2016, and was followed by their latest record, 'Every Country's Sun', in 2017.
The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the UK. Mogwai marked 20 years with a brace of two-night residencies in Glasgow and London, and another two in Ireland, in June 2015.
Mogwai are set to play Glasgow’s SSE Hydro and London's O2 Academy Brixton in December, followed by three more dates in Manchester, Newcastle, and Bristol for February 2018. The following month, they reach Australia too. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and ticket information below on Stereoboard.

Anyone who attended Mogwai’s back-to-back anniversary shows in 2015 will tell you the same thing: magic was in the air. The Glasgow post-rockers returned to their home city to play two nights of tracks spanning 20 years of material and the grim weather outside ironically added to the spectacle.
