Mott the Hoople are an English glam and hard rock outfit hailing from Herefordshire. Active from as far back as 1969, the band achieved fame in the UK throughout the late 60s and 70s, releasing seven studio albums - three of which charted inside the Top 40.
Influenced heavily by the sound of R&B, they’re probably most famous for their hit ‘All the Young Dudes’, a track written for them by David Bowie. Their 1973 album ‘Mott’ was their most successful chart-wise (it hit #7) but the band’s legend was written with original classics such as ’All the Way From Memphis’, ’Roll Away The Stone’, ’Saturday Gigs’ and ’The Golden Age Of Rock N Roll’. Back with a bang in 2018, the legendary and iconic rock outfit played their first festival appearance for forty years headlining Ramblin’ Man Fair in June 2018.
