Naala is a project created largely by the band's front woman, Yvette, creating soulful, jazz, and electronic infused music.
Yvette studied jazz at the Guildhall, London, and has been a professional musician ever since, being a part of multiple bands until settling on the Naala project. Being fed-up of not getting signed, Yvette formed her own label, Little Tokyo Recordings, and has put on events in London via the label to showcase unsigned artists in the area. At the moment, no official albums or EPs have been released, just the single Central Thought on Soundcloud, and Splintered Window on Spotify. Naala is ready to play a headline show at London’s Archspace next month, but is yet unclear whether this will be a solo performance or a gig with the whole band.
