Their name is a pun on the metal groups Manowar and Rhapsody Of Fire. They changed their name from Nanowar to Nanowar Of Steel in 2006, as a parody of the Italian power metal band Rhapsody changing their name to Rhapsody Of Fire after a legal dispute. They have released five studio albums to date, with their latest being 2023's 'Dislike To False Metal'. Nanowar Of Steel have announced UK shows in London and Birmingham for April 2024.
