Niall Horan is an Irish singer-songwriter from Mullingar. He is well known as a member of the British pop band One Direction.
Starting his music career in 2010, he auditioned for The X Factor, which led to him joining One Direction, with the group placing third in the competition. The group have released five albums; ‘Up All Night’ in 2011, ‘Take Me Home’ in 2012, ‘Midnight Memories’ in 2013, ‘Four’ in 2014 and ‘Made in the A.M.’ in 2015. The group went on hiatus in 2016, which led to him signing to Capitol Records, and releasing his debut solo single, This Town, which hit #9 in the UK Singles Chart. His second single, Slow Hands, was released in 2017, reaching #7 in the UK chart. The same year he released his debut solo album, 'Flicker'. He followed up with 'Heartbreak Weather' in March 2020, which contains the lead single Nice To Meet Ya. Niall Horan has cancelled the entirety of his Nice To Meet Ya World Tour due to the coronavirus pandemic. He will play a very special virtual show from London's Royal Albert Hall on November 7, 2020.
