Nouvelle Vague are a cult new wave band from Paris, led by Olivier Libaux and Marc Collin. Their name refers to the French new wave cinema movement of the 1970s and '80s. The group's recordings and live performances have featured a large rotating cast of mostly female vocalists. Several of the artists who have performed with the band have also had successful solo careers, including Camille, Phoebe Killdeer, Mélanie Pain, and Nadéah Miranda.
The debut Nouvelle Vogue album was a self-titled bow in 2004, which was released through Peacefrog Records. They followd up with 'Bandé á Part' in 2006, '3' in 2009, and 'Couleurs sur Paris' in 2010. Between 20011-2016 Nouvelle Vague stopped recording, focusing on an innovative live show created in collaboration with the mythical Jean-Charles de Castelbajac (Ceremony and Dawn of innocence,) and branching out into different projects: Olivier’s Uncovered Queen of the Stone Age, and Marc’s Bristol, along with his Kwaidan label. They put out the LP ‘I Could Be Happy’ in 2016, then 'Rariries' and 'Curiosities' in 2019. Nouvelle Vague will tour the UK in February and March 2023.
