Robert Peapo Bryson, known better as his stage name Peabo Bryson, is an RnB, soul and soft rock singer songwriter from South Carolina.
He is well known for singing soul ballads - often as a duo with female singers such as Natalie Cole, Chaka Khan, Roberta Flack, Celine Dion, and more. He has also contributed to three Disney animated feature soundtracks. During his career, Bryson has also won two Grammy Awards: in 1992 for his performance of the song Beauty and the Beast with Celine Dion and in 1993 for A Whole New World with Regina Belle. Bryson has released over twenty albums throughout his time, from 1976's 'Peabo' to his most recent release, 'Stand For Love', in 2018. BBC Radio 2's Friday Night Is Music Night series sees Peabo Bryson celebrate Barry White in October 2019.
