Peter Kay is an English comedian and actor from Farnworth, Lancashire. He is best known for his TV shows ‘Phoenix Nights’ and ‘Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere’.
Starting his comedy career in 1996, he won the North West Comedian of the Year, and Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny?, before being nominated for a Perrier Award at the 1998 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In 1999 he launched ‘That Peter Kay Thing’ on Channel 4, which was followed by ‘Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights’ in 2001 and ‘Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere’ in 2004. In 2015 he starred in’ Peter Kay's Car Share’ and ‘Cradle to Grave’.
He has headlined his own shows and tours across the UK, including his 2009 ‘Tour That Doesn’t Tour Tour’, which begun as a four-night stint at the Manchester Arena, and grew into 40 dates and a countrywide tour, making it the ‘The Tour That Doesn't Tour Tour...Now On Tour...’!, that Guinness World Records recognises as the most successful stand-up tour in the world. In 2016 and 2017 he toured his Dance For Life shows in aid of Cancer Research UK.

So funny I pissed myself. I went to see peter in Birmingham with some mummy's from the school. A sad bunch we don't get out much but what a night totally blinding. Will defo be getting tickets next time around and would tell anybody to go. Happy days.
