Isle of Eigg-based Johnny Lynch's Pictish Trail project plays with electronica, folk-tinged disco and wonk-pop. Lynch is definitely not shy of experimentation; he has also previously performed with a full heavy metal band, and acoustic sets, too.
His debut double album, 'Secret Sounds Vol 1 & 2', was released in 2014 and his second, 'Future Echoes', in 2016. His most recent record, 'Thumb World', arrived in February 2020. Lynch has appeared at numerous festivals including Field Day, Glastonbury and Green Man. Pictish Trail has rescheduled his headline UK tour for a second time to spring 2022 in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
