Pretenders are a British-American rock band based in Hereford, led by guitarist and vocalist Chrissie Hynde.
Formed in 1978, the band have put out 11 studio albums to date, with notable releases including their self-titled debut in 1979, 1986's ‘Get Close’—which contained the #1 single Don’t Get Me Wrong—and their most recent, 2020's 'Hate For Sale'. They are due to drop their twelfth record, 'Relentless', some time in 2023. Pretenders have announced a run of UK shows in May 2023, when they will also headline Stornoway's Midnight Sun Weekender.
