Ricky Ross is an alternative rock and pop singer-songwriter and broadcaster from Dundee. He is best known as the frontman of Deacon Blue.
He released his debut solo album ‘So Long Ago’ in 1984, before forming Deacon Blue. He released four LPs with the band before their initial split in 1994. From there, he continued his solo career, dropping a further two studio albums before Deacon Blue reunited in 1999, and has since continued to juggle both thriving projects. He has now released a total of seven solo records including, most recently, 'Short Stories Vol.1' in 2017. 'Short Stories Vol.2' is due to arrive in 2022. He is also a radio presenter with his own show, ‘Another Country with Ricky Ross’, on BBC Radio Scotland. Ricky Ross will tour the UK in autumn 2022.
