A bit overindulgent but he has earned the right to be!
Glasgow Hydro on October 5 2013
From start to finish Rod and his band were fantastic! It was beautiful to see his kids up on stage and I have no doubt that Ruby will follow in her dad's footsteps towards. Rod was perhaps slightly self indulgent at times but who are we to flag him up on that - he has earned the right to be! I loved every minute for what was an amazing concert! Incidentally, the Hydro venue is superb. Perfect for concerts and a great addition to the city.
Even at the age of 68, Rod Stewart has still got itť. Some 44 years since releasing his first ever solo offering, Rod Stewart's cheeky glint fails to dim as he belted out hits from his latest album 'Time'.
Other classics also got played, including This Old Heart Of Mine, Tonight's The Night, Rhythm Of My Heart and a fantastic duet on Forever Young with his daughter Ruby Stewart. He effortlessly blended his chart classics like Da Ya Think I'm Sexy, Sailing and Maggie May with soulful acoustic songs.
The devoted Glasgow Celtic fan kicked a lot of signed footballs into the crowd while singing Hot Legs. Wish I had caught one, although I did see two women fight over one. Score!
