Roddy Woomble is a Scottish folk singer-songwriter from Irvine. He is widely recognised as the frontman of rock band Idlewild, but has also forged a successful solo career.
He released his debut solo album, ‘My Secret is My Silence’, in 2006, which was followed by ‘The Impossible Song & Other Songs’ in 2011 and ‘Listen to Keep’ in 2013. His latest solo full-length arrived in the shape of 2017's 'The Deluder', while in 2020 he dropped the 'Everyday Sun' EP. He is due to release his new solo album, 'Lo! Soul', in May 2021. In light of the coronavirus pandemic, Roddy Woomble has rescheduled his UK tour dates throughout summer and autumn 2021, and spring 2022.
