Rose Tattoo Tickets, Tour Dates & Concerts 2024/2025 ♫Last Updated: 22 Mar 2018 4:37pm
Rose Tattoo is an Australian rock and roll band formed in Sydney in 1976.
Although varying the line up over the years, Rose Tattoo's inspirations come from The Rolling Stones, Faces, Billy Thorpe and Aztecs, earning them a devoted following in their city at the time. Their debut single Bad Boy for Love was released in 1977, peaked at #19 on the Ozzy singles chart, and after another line-up rearrangement, earned them opening spots on the pub rock circuit for The Angels, Cold Chisel, Dragon and Kevin Borich Express. Their debtu full length was a self-titled album that was release in 1978. They followed his up with 'Assault & Battery' in 1981, 'Scarred For Life' a year later, 'Southern Stars' in 1984, and 'Beats From a Single Drum' in 1986 before the band's split. Their success saw a Reading Festival slot in 1981, and a tour of the US in 1982 supporting Aerosmith and ZZ Top. In the early 90s, Angry "Ango" Anderson tried to reunite Rose Tattoo, but the death of Dallas "Digger" Royall, who died in 1991 of cancer while trying to overcome substance abuse in the form of a heroin addiction and alcoholism, stalled the reformation. They managed to reform in the early 1990s, and supported Guns N Roses on their 'Use Your Illusion' Australian tour, but nothing much else came until they returned in 2002 with new album 'Pain', and again in 2007 with 'Blood Brothers'. Now for 2018, Rose Tattoo have confirmed UK shows for September. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.
