Salt N Pepa are an American music group hailing from New York City.
Formed in 1985, they were one of the first all-female hip-hop/rap groups ever, and achieved considerable success in the late '80s and '90s, thanks to hits like Push It, Let's Talk About Sex, and Whatta Man, as well as None of Your Business, which won them the 1995 Grammy for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. Despite splitting in 2002, Salt N Pepa would return a few years later, and continue to tour and perform to this day, though they haven't released any new music this side of the millennium.
