Scritti Politti are a British new wave band from Leeds.
The band’s debut album, ‘Songs to Remember’, was released in 1982, and hit #12 in the UK Album Chart. In 1985, the band put out their second LP, ‘Cupid & Psyche 85’, which was followed by 1988's 'Provision’, and 1999's ‘Anomie and Bonhomie’. Their most recent full-length effort arrived in the form of 2006's 'White Bread Black Beer'. Scritti Politti will celebrate 35 years of 'Cupid & Psyche 85' by performing it in full on a UK tour in autumn 2021.
