Selah Sue, real name Sanne Putseys, is a Belgian singer and songwriter from Leefdaal.
She was offered a contract with Universal after she sung on some demos for a Belgian producer. She released her debut EP ‘Black Part Love’ in 2009, which was followed by a second EP ‘Raggamuffin’ in 2010. Her self-titled debut album came out in 2011, which reached number one on the Belgium Albums Chart, and she was named as one of the new faces of 2012 by The Rolling Stone Magazine. Her second album, ‘Reason’ came out in 2015. She has performed at North Sea Jazz, Lowlands, Les Nuits Botaniques, Les Ardentes, Dour Festival, Lokerse Feesten, Couleur Café, Pukkelpop, Eurockéennes and Sziget festivals, as well as having supported Prince in 2010, and performed at the royal wedding in Luxembourg in 2012.
