Seu Jorge is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, musician and actor from Belford Roxo.
Starting his music career in 1998, he was a member of the band Farofa Carioca, and released his debut solo album, ‘Samba Esporte Fino’ in 2001. He gained a wider notoriety after her starred in the film ‘City Of God’, in 2002 and ‘The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou’ in 2004, for which he contributed Portuguese cover versions of David Bowie songs. He has released eight albums, the latest being, ‘Músicas para Churrasco, Vol. 2’ in 2015. Seu Jorge Presents The Life Aquatic: A Tribute to David Bowie at London's Eventim Apollo in February 2019.
