She Makes War (a.k.a Laura Kidd) is an indie rock singer/songwriter from Bristol.
Her one-woman shows can include electric guitar, vocal loops, ukulele, marching drum, foot percussion and megaphone, and has spoken at universities and conferences about DIY music. The multi-instrumentalist, filmmaker and visual artist released her debut album, ‘Disarm’ in 2010, which was followed by 2012’s, ‘Little Battles’. She has played shows with Suede, The Levellers, The Magic Numbers, Midge Ure, Chris T-T, Viv Albertine and Tom Williams and the Boat. The EP ’Disarm: Reimagined’ came to fruition on November 27 2015, and her next full length album ‘Direction of Travel’ dropped in 2016. She Makes War will hit the UK in October and November on her 'Brace For Impact' tour, supporting her new album of the same name.
