Silver Apples are an American psychedelic and electronic rock outfit hailing from New York City, New York. Formed in 1967, the band currently consists solely of frontman, synth-player and songwriter Simeon, though it also featured drummer Danny Taylor up until his unfortunate death in 2005.
Becoming one of the first bands to blend a general rock sound with experimental and psychedelic elements, including electronic sounds and instruments, they would pick up a cult following despite releasing just two albums in their original 67-70 run. The band would return for another four years and three records in the 90s, before bowing out once again.
