Skindred are a Welsh alternative metal band from Newport, consisting of vocalist Benji Webbe, guitarist Mikey Demus, bass player Dan Pugsley, Arya Goggin on drums and their DJ, Dan Sturgess.
Formed in 1998 after frontman Benji Webbe’s previous band Dub War split, they’ve gone on to become an internationally successful group known for their unique blend of metal with jungle, hip-hop with hardcore, and ska with drum and bass. Their debut album, ‘Babylon’, hit shelves in 2002, followed by ‘Roots Rock Riot’ in 2007, ‘Shark Bites and Dog Fights’ in 2009, ‘Union Black’ in 2011 and ‘Kill the Power’ in 2014. ‘Volume’, was released in 2015 and their latest, 'Big Tings', in April 2018.
The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the USA and UK, including supporting Steel Panther in early 2015, as well as playing festivals such as Reading and Leeds numerous times.
The band played a string of European festival sets in 2017, including their first appearance at the UK's Bloodstock festival.
As well as a Halloween show in Coventry this October, Skindred embark on the That's My Jam Tour this autumn - touching down in the US in September and October, before heading to the UK in November and December. In 2019, they head across Europe too, as well as headline Wrexham's Focus Wales in May. Catch Skindred live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.

“You’re either born to do it or you’re not, and I guess I was born to do it,” Benji Webbe says, a few hours before hitting the stage at Cardiff’s Tramshed with his band, Skindred. “The whole stage performance thing, I fell in love with it from a very early age—I loved putting on the clothes for the Christmas play in Junior School.” When he says early he means early, then. Start as you mean to go on.
