Sleep Tickets, Tour Dates & Concerts 2024/2025 ♫Last Updated: 17 Apr 2019 4:20pm
Sleep are an American stoner rock/heavy metal band from San Jose, California. Formed in 1990, the group consists of Al Cisneros, Matt Pike, and Jason Roeder.
Once described as perhaps being 'the ultimate stoner rock band', Sleep would instantly earn themselves acclaim when they forayed into the music scene, putting out their debut record, 'Volume One', in 1991, and 'Sleep's Holy Mountain' the following year. After label disputes over their next album (Sleep wanted to release two 50+ minute tracks as full LPs), the band would split, though the music would come out post-break-up as 'bootlegs'. The band got back together for shows in 2009. Having toured Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada in early 2018, they put out a brand new LP, 'The Sciences', in April 2018 which marked their first full length offering in 19 years. Sleep are next set to headline a huge US tour over the summer, before heading to the UK and Europe in October.
