Smoke Fairies are an English folk and blues duo, consisting of longtime pals Katherine Blamire and Jessica Davies. The girls met at school in Sussex in the late 1990s, and after returning from a blues-infused trip to New Orleans and immersing themselves in the British folk scene, they began creating a beautifully crafted mixture of the two genres.
They worked their way up the ranks and soon found themselves as a warm-up act with Bryan Ferry in 2007. Later on in the year, they put out their debut album, 'Strange The Things'. They have followed up with a further five albums, with the latest being 2020's 'Darkness Brings The Wonders Home'. They are expected to release a new album in late 2023 through Year Seven Records.
