Smokepurpp is an American record producer and rapper hailing from Chicago, Illinois. Born in 1997, he would first start out in music making beats/instrumentals to sell to rappers. But, due to a lack of customers, Smokepurpp began rapping himself, uploading songs to SoundCloud.
Eventually, Smokepurpp would build up a huge online following, and end up working with stars such as XXXTentacion, Offset, Lil Yachty, and most frequently with his friend Lil Pump, with whom he put out the popular track, Nephew. Smokepurpp is currently signed to Interscope/Alamo, and is working on new material such as 'Deadstar 2', the follow-up to his debut mixtape. His latest release was 2018's 'Bless Yo Trap'. Smokepurpp played his first ever headline tour of Australia in January 2019, and then he hits up Birmingham and Cardiff in March.
