Sons of Apollo is an American prog-metal supergroup that formed in 2017. It consists of Jeff Scott Soto of Trans Siberian Orchestra and Talisman (and formerly of Journey), Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal of Art of Anarchy (and previously Guns N Roses), Winery Dogs and Mr Big bassist Billy Sheehan, ex-Alice Cooper/Dream Theatre/Kiss keyboard-player Derek Sherinian, and drummer Mike Portnoy, who's played for Dream Theatre, Avenegd Sevenfold, Trans Atlantic, Flying Colours, The Winery Dogs, and more.
The impressive Sons of Apollo line-up finished and released their first album, 'Psychotic Symphony', in October 2017 via Inside Out Music, and are set to play US shows in early 2018, followed by stops in Europe and the UK later in the year.
