The Spice Girls are one of the biggest pop groups of all time! Made up originally of Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), and Victoria Beckham, née Adams (Posh Spice), the girls formed in 1994.

Signed to Virgin Records, they released their debut single Wannabe in 1996, which #1 in over 37 countries and established their global success. The girls' first full lenght album, 'Spice' dropped later that year and sold over 31 million copies worldwide, becoming the best-selling album by a female group in history. Now having sold over 85 million records worldwide, the Spice Girls are THE best-selling female group of all time.

1998 saw the shock departure of Halliwell due to differences with the group, who went on to launch an initially successful solo career. In December 2000, the group unofficially announced that they were beginning an indefinite hiatus and would be concentrating on their solo careers in regards to their foreseeable future, although they pointed out that the group was not splitting.

They returned in 2007 and have appeared a few times in various formations since. After numerous rumours about a reunion tour, the Spice Girls have confirmed they will be reuniting for a UK & Ireland tour in 2019, hitting some huge stadiums around the country!
