Sven Väth is a German DJ and producer from Obertshausen, who creates techno, trance, and ambient beats with vinyl records and a mixer only.
Starting his career back in 1982, he launched onto the scene with the huge single Electric Salsa in 1986, and eventually became one of Germany's pop stars in the 1990s: running two famous night clubs in Germany, and starting his own company Cocoon, which encompasses a booking agency, record label, and a branch for events. Väth is recognised for cultivating the electronic underground music scene in both Germany and Ibiza, with a 14 year residency at the famous club Amnesia, and even having played an eye-watering 30 hour set once.
His debut album 'Accident In Paradise' was release in 1992, and he released seven more studio albums through the years until his latest 'Fire Works' in 2003. Throughout the 2000s, he's put out various mix albums - with the sixteenth dropped in 2015.
Sven Väth still plays sets to this day - catch him live at Printworks London in September by checking out the concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.
I have seen Sven twice this year and each time he never fails to deliver his exciting brand of music. He is the best and it is just fantastic to hear his music and to dance to his tunes. I have been a fan of Sven ever since Ibiza days, his music is magic - he 'plays' his audience, uplifts and delivers with a beat that resonates with my very soul.
