The Adicts are an English punk band from Ipswich, Suffolk, featuring Monkey, Pete Dee, Kid Dee and Little Dave. They are best known for their track, Viva La Revolution, which featured in Tony Hawk’s Underground.
Formed in 1975, the band released their debut album, ‘Songs of Praise’, in 1981, which was followed by ‘Sound of Music’, the year after, ‘Smart Alex’, in 1985, and ‘Fifth Overture’, in 1986. The band didn’t release their next studio album, ‘Twenty-Seven’, until 1992, and then waited another 10 years, to release their sixth album, ‘Rise and Shine’, in 2002. Their seventh album, ‘Rollercoaster’, came out in 2004, followed by ‘Life Goes On’, in 2009 and ‘All the Young Droogs’, in 2009. The band have now signed to Nuclear Blast and are expected to release their latest album in autumn. The Adicts have confirmed a show at London’s O2 Academy Islington for June 2018.
