The Beths are a New Zealand based indie pop band from Auckland made up of Elizabeth Stokes, Jonathan Pearce, Benjamin Sinclair and Ivan Luketina-Johnston.
Guitarist, lead vocalist, and primary songwriter Stokes and guitarist Pearce attended high school together before meeting up with longtime mates bassist Sinclair and drummer Luketina-Johnston at the University of Auckland, where all four studied jazz. After gigging together in a variety of configurations, the quartet came together for a project exploring the pop and rock sounds of their youth.
Their debut EP, 'Warm Blood' dropped in 2016, and they'll follow it up with their sophomore, 'Future Me Hates Me' through Carpark Records.
A beloved live act across Australia and New Zealand, the band have toured the U.S. and Europe.
The Beths will tour the UK in May 2018 mixing headline dates in the UK with sets alongside Ratboys and Fresh. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.

The Beths are learning Welsh.
It’s a little after 10 at Le Pub in Newport, and the New Zealand indie-pop band are parroting back a few reliable words and phrases shouted from the crowd. They try cwtch and iechyd da on for size before Elizabeth Stokes draws a line under it. “We’re butchering this,” she says. “Let’s do a song.”
