The Black Dahlia Murder are an American melodic death metal outfit hailing from Waterford, Michigan. Named after the infamous murder of Elizabeth Short in 1947, the band formed in 2001, and after a few line up changes, currently consists of original vocalist Trevor Strnad and original rhythm guitarist Brian Eschbach alongside lead guitarist Brandon Ellis, bassist Max Lavelle, and drummer Alan Cassidy.
