The Coathangers are an American alternative rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, consisting of vocalist and guitar player Crook Kid Coathanger (Julia Kugel), vocalist and bass player Minnie Coathanger (Meredith Franco), and vocalist and drummer Rusty Coathanger (Stephanie Luke).
Formed in 2006, the band released their self-titled debut album in 2007 via Rob's House Records. The band then signed to Suicide Squeeze Records and released the follow up, ‘Scramble’, in 2009. The band have released a further two albums; ‘Larceny & Old Lace’ in 2011, after which keyboard player Bebe Coathanger (Candice Jones) left the band, and ‘Suck My Shirt’ in 2014. ‘Nosebleed Weekend’, was released in April 2016, and their latest, 'Parasite' in June 2017 via Suicide Squeeze. The band have supported the Black Lips on tour, as well as having headlined their own shows in the USA and the UK. The Coathangers are set to tour the UK and Europe in October in support of a new live album, titled 'LIVE', which is due for release on June 1.
