The Great Escape is a new music festival that takes place in Brighton, England, in May.
Formed in 2006 and created by MAMA & Company, the festival sees roughly over 400 acts play each year, across 35 venues. There is also a music convention, where speakers have included Michael Eavis, DJ Shadow, and Paul Epworth.
The festival has seen performances from the likes of Alabama Shakes, Laura Doggett, Slaves, The Thurston Moore Band, Oh Wonder, the Mystery Jets, Shura, Mura Masa, Spring King, Blossoms, Cabbage, Rag 'N' Bone Man, Sløtface, Pale Waves, MIST, MoShack and more.
