The Posies are an American power pop group from Bellingham, Washington, currently consisting of founding members Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow, alongside Matt Harris.
Formed in 1986, the band self-released their debut album, ‘Failure’, and signed to DGC Records in 1989. They released four albums; ‘Dear 23’ (1990), ‘Frosting On The Beater’ (1993), ‘Amazing Disgrace’ (1996), and ‘Success’ (1998) on PopLlama Records, before splitting in 1999. The band reformed again in 2000, and released the albums, ‘Every Kind Of Light’ in 2005, and ‘Blood/Candy’ in 2010 on Rykodisc. The band released their latest album, ‘Solid States’ in 2016.
