The Pretty Things are a British rock band from London, featuring Phil May, Dick Taylor, Frank Holland, George Woosey and Jack Greenwood. The band are best known for tracks such as Don't Bring Me Down and Honey I Need.
Formed in 1963, after Dick Taylor left an early version of The Rolling Stones, the band released their debut self-titled album in 1963, which reached #6 in the UK Albums Chart. Their fourth album, ‘S.F. Sorrow’, released in 1968, was one of the first rock concept records. The band released their 12 album, ‘The Sweet Pretty Things (Are in Bed Now, of Course...)’, in 2015. The Pretty Things played London’s 229 The Venue in July, and are back in the capital in December, as part of what is now said to be their farewell tour, as the band retire from 'electric' performances.
