The Subways are an English alt-rock band hailing from Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Formed in 2000, and consisting of frontman Billy Lunn, bassist Charlotte Cooper, and drummer Josh Morgan, The Subways create a blend of Britpop and post-grunge. They won the Glastonbury emerging talent competition in 2004.

The Waterfront is a 700 capacity live music venue and nightclub based on King Street in Norwich. Part of the UEA - the UEA Student's Union owns it - the Waterfront opened in 1993, and allows fans and students alike to watch some of the world's best bands and acts. Names that have graced its stage include Amy Winehouse, MGMT, Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead, Prodigy, Nirvana, and loads more.
