The Wakes are a folk rock band from Glasgow.
Fusing traditional Celtic music with punk rock, the band refuse to shy away from topics that are important to them, from anti-fascist politics to immigration. After forming in 2007, they released their debut studio album 'These Hands' that same year, and have since expanded their discography to include five full-length LPs, five EPs and five collaborative records. Their most recent serving arrived in the shape of their 'Paradise to Millerntor' EP in 2017. The Wakes will play Glasgow St Luke's in December 2021 for a one-off show.
