Wendy James is a singer-songwriter hailing from London.
She is widely recognised for her work with the 1980s punk band Transvision Vamp. The band enjoyed great success, particularly in 1989 when their second studio album, 'Velveteen', topped the UK's Official Album Charts. Following Transvision Vamp's split in 1991, James began to forge her own solo career, and has since released four solo albums to date, the most recent being 2020's 'Queen High Straight'. Wendy James now tours with a live band and has rescheduled her UK Club Tour to autumn 2021 in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
