Thee Hypnotics are a high energy garage, psychedelic, hard rock/rock and roll band from High Wycombe, formed in 1985.
Their debut single Love In a Different Vein dropped in 1987, and from this they signed to Situation Two, a subsidary to label Beggars Banquet. The band released their debut album, 'Live'r Than God' in 1989, and followed this up with their first studio recorded album 'Come Down Heavy' a year later, 'Soul, Glitter & Sin' in '91 and 'The Very Crystal Speed Machine' in '93, after the untimely death of temporary bassist Craig Pike. With a final studio release 'Earth Blues 99 / Thing 4 U' in 1997, and the band's momentum drained, they split up in 1999. The band had toured all over the UK as both headline tours and of those supporting The Black Crows and The Cult. Now, back with a bang in 2018, Thee Hypnotics are set to tour the UK in April, alongside a string of LP re-issues, which will include rare and unreleased material.
