Theory, formerly Theory of a Deadman, are a Canadian alternative rock band from Vancouver. Formed in 2001, the band consists of Tyler Connolly, Dean Back, David Brenner and Joe Dandeneau.
Their debut album was a self-title effort in 2002, and since have put out another five records, the latest being 'Wake Up Call' in October 2017, which brought a whole new sound to the band. Following the success of its predecessor, 'Savages', in 2014, which reached the top ten on the Hot 100 Albums Chart and topped both the Alternative and Hard Rock Charts, a change of direction was needed when the same format of songwriting became frustrating.
