Tom Paxton is an American singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Chicago, Illinois. Born in 1937, he boasts a decorated career in music that has spanned over 50 years, and is one of few artists to have received the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Part of the Greenwich Village folk scene alongside acts like Janis Ian, Paxton has the ability to create a song for any occasion or emotion; he’ll put together a funny, lighthearted-yet-catchy track one day, and a seriously topical track against corruption and the government the next. What all his tunes have in common, however, is that they always seem to be damn good. His latest release was 'Boat in the Water' in 2017.
