Tracyanne & Danny is a new collaborative project between singer-songwriters Tracyanne Campbell of Camera Obscura and Danny Coughlan of Crybaby.
Campbell hails from Glasgow, while London-born Coughlan is based in Bristol. The pair were introduced by mutual friends in 2013, and after digging out the Crybaby record, Campbell invited him to open some Camera Obscura shows in the UK. Mutual artistic respect led to the swapping of song ideas, and citing the likes of the Roches, Dion, Lou Reed, The Flamingos, Serge Gainsbourg, Santo & Johnny, and the Style Council as influences on their work, the rest followed! Fresh from the release of their self-titled debut in May, the duo Tracyanne and Danny have announced UK shows for October 2018.
