Trans-Siberian Orchestra - often shortened to TSO - are an American progressive and symphonic rock outfit. Formed in 1993 by producer and composer Paul O'Neill, it consists of a creative team featuring O'Neill alongside Jon Oliva, Robert Kinkel, and Al Pitrelli and a vast collection of touring musicians, the line-up of which has changed countless times over the years.
Signed to Atlantic, they released their debut album 'Christmas Eve and Other Stories' in 1996, and hit #53 in the chart. Though it didn't break into the dizzy heights of the Top 10, it's now considered a classic record and is now certified triple platinum.
The band would eventually acquire so much demand for touring that the group would split into two bands, East and West, that could tour both sides of America simultaneously, playing shows on the same day in two different states.
Going on to release four more records, they continued to find success and their 2009 effort, 'Night Castle', even broke into that highly-coveted Top 5, with the band also earning multiple platinum discs too. November and December 2016 saw Trans-Siberian Orchestra heading out on tour of North America once again, and they did the same in November and December 2017.
Winter 2018 will see Trans-Siberian Orchestra embarking on the The Ghost of Christmas Eve Tour, playing 'The Best of TSO and More'. Check below for the dates and to find tickets!
