Faultless performance - like they never been away!
Manchester Ritz on October 27 2013
The rapturous applause following nearly 2 hours of excellent music was just what Travis deserved. They were fantastic. Its hard to believe they have been away from the scene for four years, best show ive been too in a long while! Why pay out near £70 to see a band from miles away in a huge arena, when you can get up close and personal with a band like Travis for £25. Really felt part of the show. Faultless.
Travis rocked the Ritz in Manchester on Sunday 27th October. The music was a good collection of old and a few tracks from the new album, Where You Stand. They played a very full set list with tracks like 'Sing' , 'Turn' and 'Driftwood' really getting the crowd hyped and ready for the next track.
The encore started with 'Good Feeling' which gave an awesome atmosphere to the gig and the crowd singing along with Fran. The highlight of the night was to 'Flowers In The Window' when all the band got together over Fran's guitar at the front of the stage and all played while Fran held his arms up.
The night was ended with 'Why Does It Always Rain On Me' and the whole crowd were bouncing by now and appeared to have really enjoyed the night. The support were good with a band called Thomas Speight getting the crowd ready for Travis. The only downside to the night was when Travis left the stage and the night came to an end although it certainly looked like everyone left in a haze of euphoria.
