Turin Brakes are an English folk rock band from Balham, London, consisting of Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian, who both play guitar and sing, alongside Rob Allum and Eddie Myer.

Forming in 1999 , they released their debut LP, ‘The Optimist’, in 2001, followed with ‘Ether Song’ two years later. ‘JackInABox’ was released in 2005, 'Dark On Fire' in 20007 and 'Outbursts' in 2010. 'We Were Here', hit the shelves in 2013, and they showcased the record with a massive show at London's Queen Elizabeth Hall in May 2014. The band released their seventh album, ‘Lost Property’ in January 2016, which they supported with a winter tour as well as an appearance at play Cooking Vinyl’s 30th Anniversary show.
