Vanessa Da Mata is a Latin Grammy Award-winning Brazilian MPB singer, songwriter, and novelist.
In 2002, Da Mata released her eponymous debut album through Sony Music. The album's biggest hit was the song Não Me Deixe Só, which reached a peak position of 25th in the Brazilian chart and 42nd in the Portuguese. Her follows ups included 'Essa Boneca Tem Manual' in 2004, the Grammy award-winning 'Sim' in 2007 for Best Contemporary Brazilian Pop Album, a live album in 2009, 'Bicicletas, Bolos e Outras Alegrias' in 2010, ' Vanessa da Mata canta Tom Jobim' in 2013, and her lastest release, 'Segue o som' in 2014. Her biggest singles include Ai, Ai, Ai, Boa Sorte/Good Luck and Amado, which all became number-one hits in Brazil. Aside from music, the singer has collaborated with cosmetics brands and been involved in charity awareness, as well as having released her own novel, A Filha das Flores, in 2013.
